Message From World Farmers

As a nation that claims ‘unity, justice, general welfare, and tranquility’ as our foundation, we are doing a less than adequate job of exemplifying these values. Despite our great achievements, seeds of hate are being sown within our lands, threatening to overpower the qualities that make this nation great. With the current national rhetoric, we cannot stay silent or idle. Our voices matter, and they must be heard.

Our Voices Matter is a project that offers a safe space for people to share their thoughts, concerns, and fears, with the goal of uniting our community. We encourage you to share your voice in whatever form inspires you: an original blog, short story, poem, or picture, anonymously or signed. We imagine this place as a virtual complement to the physical spaces, at farms and markets and around the family table, that we at World Farmers are committed to creating. Know that what you contribute to this community will be read, shared, discussed and respected. You are not alone and we are here to listen

When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.

- Thomas Jefferson

Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence and thereby eventually lose all ability to defend ourselves and those we love.
